Lawrence was taller than his companion, Gabriel. He walked, however, with a far less defined gait. They looked startlingly similar, and while Lori chatted amiably, the quiet man to his right merely nodded, looking around at the people and surroundings.

A young man, tall, blonde, and blue-eyed, approached them. His expression clearly indicated that speaking with them would be quite a chore as he arrived at a spot two yards in front of them. He stood, waiting. Apparently, speaking first would be far too strenous.

Gabriel stopped nodding immediately , shifting slightly to put Lawrence closer to the stranger. Lori chuckled. "Hello there," he addressed the newcomer in a quiet voice.

"Your names?" The man looked them over appraisingly.

Lawrence paused. "I'm called Lawrence Matthew and this is Gabriel Giddeon."

"And you've known each other six years?"

"...yes." He seemed confused.

"And I imagine you met on April seventh? It was a Tuesday?" he prompted irritably, casting a blueish glance at Gabriel as if to say, "Speak, boy, here's a doggie treat!" He pulled out a small device, flipped it open with enough force to break the average machine, though he didn't seem aggressive about it. "It should have been about noonish," he emphasized the should, "but then we should have caught up with you before now."

Lawrence frowned, confusion more evident on his wolfish features. "Yes. A gathering of friends. Rather a reunion..." Discomfort edged his tone.

Barrow smirked coldly, his face surprisingly expressive, given that it rarely belied anything resembling an actual thought or feeling. He coughed quietly. "A gathering of friends? How...charming." He gave a sneer at Gabriel, enjoying the fearful reaction, but obviously studying it as well.

Gabriel drew back from the man's gaze, further behind his companion. It seemed more out of fear than shyness.

Dark green eyes locked on the device as Lori chose his next words carefully. "Caught, up with us, sir?"

Barrow stepped forward industriously, watching Lawrence and Gabriel for their reactions to increased proximity. "Yes, 'caught up with you.' We've been looking for you since noontime, April seventh, six years ago, when Acorn and Orange died.
